Well…it wasn’t as fun as it could have been, to be honest. I did get to see a lot of friends and met a lot of cool new people. I also met with one of my tumblr friends (flashback-of-a-feeling) briefly, which was also really cool (She cosplayed as Lucy from Fairy Tail and Korra from Legend of Korra :3.). I did have a good time overall, it just wasn’t nearly as fun as last year. It didn’t help that I had some slight room issues, James had little bit of trouble doing dialysis on Saturday (which, thankfully, turned out to be that his catheter moved and not anything more serious), one of my roommates had a family emergency which just broke my heart, and the morons in hotel during the power outage really, really pissed me off. It’s those types of people that give conventions a bad name. But I did take some pictures which I’ll be sharing soon. It wasn’t all bad, but there was more bad than I would’ve liked.
Speaking of pictures, I didn’t get many of Lady Samantha, sadly. Her armor didn’t turn out as well as expected, so I didn’t wear it. No one recognized her, either :T. I’m in love with the wig, however. Just need to trim it. I did get quite a few of Riza. I think Riza stood out more with her paws. I’m already starting to think of costumes to do for next year. I really want to finish Kurau, and possibly another. James wants to dress up, too (this still blows my mind, slightly. Heh.). I’m thinking Char, because James could possibly have the hair for it ;).
I think James and I will go next year, since it’s pretty much our home con. We love seeing everyone there that we don’t get to see otherwise, and it’s easy to get to; but I really hope it’s better next time.
